Find my LosOS box

Your box is on your home network, not on the internet. This page asks your browser to look for it there, so you never have to read its screen or type an address.

Look for it

Plug the box in, give it a minute to boot, and make sure this computer is on the same Wi‑Fi or network. Then:

http://.local

Your browser will ask whether this page may look for devices on your local network. Say yes; the lookup happens on your computer and nothing about your network is sent anywhere.

Or type the address

  1. The box's own screen shows its address, as mattbox.local and as a number like 192.168.1.23.
  2. Type either one into the address bar, with http:// in front: http://mattbox.local.
  3. The first-run setup opens. It walks you through trusting the box's certificate and choosing a password.
